Yes. All swimmers at the venue must have either completed the Induction swim or have been a swimmer with Be Endurance at a previous venue. Alternatively, if you take part in one of our ‘Coached’ swim sessions this also acts as an Induction

All of the details for booking can be found on the Book Now page, including dates, times, costs, etc…

Please note that we now operate using the NOWCA swim wristband system to ensure the best possible safety procedures and so all swimmers must become a member of NOWCA.

Using the booking system on the ACTIO app requires that all swimmers do book in advance. You can make the booking minutes before actually swimming but we no longer allow swimmers to turn up without a booking.

We strongly recommend the use of a swim wetsuit to keep swimmers warmer for longer and also to act as a buoyancy aid. However, we do allow non-wetsuit swimming. All non-wetsuit swimmers must prove their level of competence and if the water safety team are not sufficiently happy then the swimmer will be asked to wear a wetsuit. All non-wetsuit swimmers must wear a tow float all year round.

Absolutely yes. We have a range of wetsuits across sizes from Juniors, through to XL in mens and womens. The cost of hire is £10 and that can be arranged and paid for on arrival.

During the summer season of May – September it is not necessary to wear a tow float if you are wearing a wetsuit. However, if you wish to swim without a wetsuit then you MUST wear a tow float. You are required to provide your own tow float.

Our minimum age for swimmers is 8. Swimmers 8+ can participate in the ‘Open Swims’ but must be accompanied by a competent adult who will stay with them and supervise them. All Juniors must wear a wetsuit and a tow float. All swimmers must have completed an Induction swim to demonstrate their competence and part of that includes being able to swim approximately 250m unaided. Failure to be able to swim this distance would mean unfortunately that they are not able to participate in our swim sessions.

During the Winter season of November through until the end of April the minimum age for swimming is 18.
